Management Team
Michael Turner
President & CEO
Michael Turner joined Alert Logic to lead the company's further growth and penetration into new markets. Turner is an experienced start-up executive, with multiple successes growing early stage companies to market leadership positions and profitability. Most recently, he was Executive VP and Director for NetQoS, where he was responsible for Marketing, Sales, Product Development and Business Development. During his tenure the company grew rapidly, and was named to both Inc. Magazine and Deloitte & Touche's lists of fastest growing companies in multiple years. Turner continues to serve as a NetQoS board member. Earlier, he was VP of Marketing for NetSolve, an early leader in remote network management services which went public and was later acquired by Cisco Systems; and Director of Marketing for Logic Automation, acquired by Synopsys. He holds a BS in Macromolecular Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, and an MS in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.
Misha Govshteyn
Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Misha Govshteyn is co-founder and responsible for security strategy, security research and operations at Alert Logic. Prior to founding Alert Logic, Govshteyn served as a Director of Managed Services for Reliant Energy Communications. In this role, he developed and successfully launched five major product lines including Managed Intrusion Detection services and managed enterprise firewall/VPN products. Under Govshteyn's direction, Managed Services was the fastest growing group at Reliant Energy Communications, increasing revenue by 300% and reaching profitability in less than a year. Prior to Reliant Energy Communications, he held the position of Director of Advanced Technical Services at Insync Internet Services.
Christopher Granberry
Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Chris Granberry is responsible for all administrative and financial aspects of Alert Logic. Prior to Alert Logic, Granberry served as President of Next Step Footcare LLC, where he led the company from start-up to profitability and ultimately to a sale to a private investor group. Granberry previously served as the CFO for Insync Internet Services, where he played a key role in all aspects of the business including coordinating the sale of the company to Reliant Energy Communications. He has also served as a senior financial analyst with Torch Energy Advisors in the capital markets group, and as a Senior Consultant at Arthur Andersen in the economics and financial consulting group. Granberry has an MBA from Southern Methodist University, a BS in Business Administration from Trinity University and is a licensed CPA.
Chris Smith
Vice President of Marketing
As Vice President of Marketing, Chris Smith brings more than fifteen years of technology marketing experience to Alert Logic. Smith's key responsibilities in this role are to oversee all corporate marketing activities including solution strategy, messaging and positioning, product and program marketing, advertising, demand generation, analyst relations and event marketing. Prior to joining Alert Logic, Smith worked for Houston-based BindView Corporation, a leader in the security policy compliance market, where he had responsibility for product marketing, analyst relations and field sales enablement. Smith has also held marketing management and product management positions with Postini, NetIQ, PentaSafe Security Technologies and BMC Software. He holds an MBA from Rice University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
Gene Golovinsky
Vice President of Research & Development
As Vice President of R&D, Gene Golovinsky brings 20 years of industry experience to Alert Logic and is responsible for research and development activities. Prior to Alert Logic, Golovinsky served as Director of R&D at BMC Software, where he led an internationally distributed development organization delivering shared development services and infrastructure components to other development organizations within BMC. At BMC, Golovinsky co-authored several industry standards and patents, and held multiple R&D leadership positions. Prior to BMC he served as a product developer for AVAYA (formerly LANNET Data Communications). Golovinsky holds an MS in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Communication and Transportation in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Scott Hollis
Vice President of Business Development
Scott Hollis has nearly 20 years of commercial software experience including roles in business development, marketing, and R&D. In his role as Vice President of Business Development at Alert Logic he is responsible for strategic alliances and partnerships. Prior to joining Alert Logic, Hollis was responsible for systems and security management solutions at NetIQ. His previous experience includes product management and R&D positions at BMC Software and IBM. Hollis holds a BS in Computer Science from Virginia Tech and an MBA from the University of Houston.
Jerry Paladino
Vice President of Sales
As Vice President of Sales, Jerry Paladino is responsible for all revenue generation activities for Alert Logic and brings over 20 years of experience in the commercial software industry. Prior to joining Alert Logic, Paladino was the Vice President of Sales for NEON Systems where revenue growth and technology innovation resulted in NEON's sale to Progress Software. He has also held management positions in sales, support, engineering and marketing at Product Operations, MERANT (formerly INTERSOLV), and LEGENT Corporation. Paladino holds a Masters of Science in Engineering from the University of Arkansas.
