This is Alert Logic's second year in a row to be named a PCI Security Standards Council Approved Scanning Vendor. The PCI DSS, which was created by a consortium of major credit card brands, details twelve requirements that aim to improve security throughout the credit card transaction process. As an Approved Scanning Vendor, Alert Logic is certified to help merchants evaluate the security of their systems and assist them in achieving compliance with the PCI DSS. Alert Logic became an Approved Scanning Vendor by subjecting Alert Logic Threat Manager to rigorous testing by the PCI Security Standards Council. It also provides a constant view of an organization's PCI compliance posture and helps to identify issues that could potentially impact compliance status. In addition to providing assessments for PCI DSS compliance, Alert Logic Threat Manager helps organizations comply with Requirement 11 of the regulation by providing intrusion detection and vulnerability management solutions. With its newly released Log Manager product, Alert Logic also addresses Requirement 10 of the PCI DSS, which demands the collection, review and archival of log data.
